Students Admission

The Programme is mainly addressed to civil engineers, holders of a 5-year course of studies degree issued by Hellenic Polytechnic Schools or by equivalent Universities abroad, or to engineers of other fields. The Programme admits candidates of the following categories: 

  • Graduates of the Civil Engineering and other NTUA Schools or of Polytechnic Schools in Greece or abroad.
  • Graduates of other Departments/Faculties of Hellenic science Universities
  • Graduates of Technical Universities abroad, under certain conditions.
Apart from civil engineers, engineers who graduate from all other Science Schools in Greece or abroad can be admitted to the MSc, provided that they attend additional structural and geotechnical courses offered by the undergraduate course of studies of the NTUA’s Civil Engineering School.

The attendance of these courses lasts up to 2 semesters. If the candidates fail in the additional courses, they cannot enroll in the postgraduate Programme. These semesters are not accounted in the maximum duration of studies.

Entry Requirements

The criteria taken into consideration for the selection of postgraduate students, according to the Course of Studies Committee (CSC) are the following:

  • The overall diploma grade and its ranking order among other graduates of the same School/Department and academic year.
  • The grades of the thesis and relevant to the Master's Program undergraduate courses.
  • English knowledge .
  • IT knowledge.
  • The candidate's research and professional experience, if any.
  • Other postgraduate degrees related to the Programme’s subject, if any.
  • Letters of recommendation.
The CSC specifies annually the application of these criteria, including the level of language proficiency, the definition of additional criteria or the conduct of examinations or interviews, which will be taken into consideration for the students’ selection.

Procedures

Α call for admission in the "Analysis and Design of Structures" programme is published on an annual basis. The call specifies the available positions, the deadlines for submitting the required files, the categories of candidates and the required supporting documents. The call is published on the websites of the Msc and NTUA.

Candidacy files are submitted to the programme secretariat online, according to the instructions given in the call. Senior students may also be admitted in the programme under the condition that their studies will be completed within the academic year prior to their enrolment. 

The CSC evaluates each candidacy taking also into account the legislation and sets up the list with the candidates' ranking. The candidates who rank up to the maximum number of offered positions get admitted in the programme. In case there are more than one candidates ranking in the last position, the programme admits them all.  

The selected candidates are announced on the MSc website and are informed by the secretariat. 

The selected candidates have to enroll in the program at the beginning of the winter semester of studies, according to the instructions given by the secretariat. 

Deadlines - Application form

The candidacy application in the MSc ADS is submitted online.
It is suggested that you gather all the required information before starting the submission process. There is no option to temporarily save the application.
Ηere is the information required to complete the application.
You will also need a 250x250 photo and the supporting documents in a file.
Fill in your information correctly, as it appears on your ID or official documents, using lowercase characters.
You must provide all the information requested in the mandatory fields so that your application is processed.
Do not give information that is not accurate. The application serves as a formal declaration. 


* Qualifying academic degree, with ranking.
* Transcripts of marks. 
 * Certificate of English language.
* Proof of IT knowledge.
* Proof of research and work experience- if any.
* Other postgraduate degrees, distinctions, awards-if any.
* 2 letters of recommendation

The required supporting documents are attached scanned, compressed into a file.
The applicants who will be accepted in the programme will be asked to bring to the secretariat the certified copies of the documents that have accompanied their application, during the enrollment period.

Applications will be accepted until 10/5/2024. All candidates will receive a reply e-mail from the secretariat with the registration number of their application.
The whole evaluation procedure will be completed shortly after.
