Students can change the courses they have chosen within the first (1) week of the lectures. They can deregister from courses until the end of the 3rd week of the lectures.
There is written examination in every course according to the timetable that is announced. The grading system is on a 1-10 scale without fractional part and with the base of five (5). The mark comes from the final written exam plus the exercises, projects or other assignments given during the semester. When the mark is over the base of five (5), no re-examination is allowed.

If a student fails an exam during the 1st or 2nd semester, he/she can repeat it in September. In order to participate in the September’s exams students need to apply for it after the spring semester has ended. Each student is allowed to be examined to a maximum number of 4 courses, 2 from the winter and 2 from the spring semester. When the mark is over the base of five (5), no re-examination is allowed.
In the 3rd semester students should start developing the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis, provided that they have passed at least 8 out of 10 required courses. The student have to apply for the thesis. The application must include:
a) the suggested title of the thesis,
b) the suggested supervisor,
c) a short abstaract including the subject, the goals, the methodology and the expected results of the thesis.
After that the Coordination Committee of the Programme determines the supervisor and the 3-member Committee for the examination of the thesis.
The students who haven’t succeeded in all 5 required courses of the winter semester should enroll in courses.
The ones who have fulfilled the requirements (5 courses from winter and 5 courses from spring semester) have the option to enroll in additional courses up to the total number of 14 throughout their studies.

The 3-member Committee evaluates the postgraduate thesis through oral examination. The exams take place only after the fulfillment of the 10 courses requirement.
The postgraduate thesis’ grade include half fractional part and the passing grade is at least 5,5.
If a student has already started the postgraduate thesis and does not wish to attend additional courses, he/she just enrolls without choosing courses.
If a student has not applied for the postgraduate thesis, he does so.

According to Senate’s decision (15-17/11/2009) the students who have successfully completed the Programme have to follow the procedure described below, I order to graduate:
1. Submit to the NTUA's Library an electronic copy of their Postgraduate Thesis.
2. Submit to the programme's Secretariat:
a) Certificate from the Library of NTUA confirming the submission of the postgraduate thesis electronically.
b) Certificate from the Library of NTUA stating that the student does not have any obligation towards the Library.
c) An electronic copy of the cover page of postgraduate thesis (via e-mail),
d) An electronic version (in word file, not pdf) of the abstract of the Postgraduate Thesis. The abstract must include the full title of the Thesis as well as the full name of the student (via e-mail).
